PERSONAL STATEMENT
My first memory in life was up on stage. Performing always came naturally to me. Since I was a little girl, I’ve loved to perform, and I’ve been doing it my whole life. During kindergarten in Argentina, I danced. When my parents made the decision to bring my brother and me to the United States after years of adapting and struggling, I realized that I had many more opportunities here. I had the privilege to perform musical theater, dance, and acting for film. I enjoyed performing because I could express myself in multiple lives and experiences. And for a girl with a lot of imagination, this was a great hobby that turned into a dream that never stopped growing.
Growing up, I always enjoyed watching celebrity interviews and behind-the-scenes videos from my favorite films and television shows. I liked to see the actors' personalities separate from their characters, which made their performance more valuable. I also wanted to see how everything was set up. I watched people do their jobs and be happy there. I loved the complexity of everything and how everyone on set, as little as they were, was essential for everything to come together. I always watch these types of videos after I finish a film or television show to avoid spoilers. However, in 2017, at my peak interest in film, the first modernized version of the IT movie was in theaters. I love scary movies, and I desperately
wanted to watch them after they had been advertised for so long, but despite my parents’ efforts, their workloads made it impossible for me to see them in theaters. So, instead of waiting to watch the movie to see the behind-the-scenes and interview videos, I watched them before. I searched every scene, how it was filmed, the actor's experience, the cast’s friendship, the director, the makeup artist…etc. I knew everything about the movie and everything that happened without watching it. My mom allowed me to buy the movie on our home television a few years later. This was the film that changed my perspective on everything. Because I knew so many facts about the way everything was produced. When I saw the film, it was like I was there, standing in the director’s shadow. It was my first time seeing a film with a technical lens.
At this point, I was 11 years old, and I was able to take acting classes for film. In January 2022, my family and I went to California to tour the Warner Brothers Studio. Seeing all the backstage and prepared sets helped me make my decision. I remember telling my parents, “I do not care what I do if I become a makeup artist, actress, director, or producer, but I am definitely going to work in the film industry.” I fell in love with absolutely everything I saw. From that day forward I have done everything I could to get experience in the field. I took acting classes at The Actor Academy, Universal Casting, and with the famous casting director, Lisa London. In these classes I learned things like improvisation, industry terms, and how to network to expand my brand as an actress. At Universal Casting I wrote and acted in scenes for reels created with my professor Chris Perez and at The Actor Academy, I worked with three well-known Youtubers from Latin America, Oso World, Leyla Star, and Singer Katie Angel. The YouTube videos consisted of content for children. I created a supporting character, a comforting and fun troublemaker within the girlfriend group in the videos. I gave this character a social media platform, and I grew tremendously. Later, I was able to start taking voice acting classes. Thankfully, that experience got me my first official job. I got the opportunity to do dubbing in English for an HBO Max Original show produced by Warner Brothers and Directed by Cris Morena.
These experiences enhanced my creative side, and I am pursuing the best opportunities to improve my skills; I have ideas ready to come to life, I just need some guidance to reach my full potential. I am meant to do this, and I couldn’t imagine dedicating my life to anything else. I have a real passion for film, and I can’t wait to do so much and put every ounce of energy I have into my work because it is truly what makes me the happiest.
